Category: Cuban Cigar

Named after William Shakespeare’s tragic lovers, the origins of Romeo y Julieta as a Habano Cuban cigar date back to 1875.

Added in 2020 to commemorate 145 years of Romeo Y Julieta production, this is one of three " Linea de Oro" (Golden Line) cigars to mark this event.

The whole line can be described as medium to full-bodied, which is a step up from the classic range, and are beautifully rolled with filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region.  The flavour is exceptionally smooth and perfectly balanced, making this an unforgettable experience.

Each cigar is dressed with a special band bearing the name of the vitola and a second gold band to protect the foot.

Lucy ★★★★★

The 145th anniversary blend is noticeably smoother than other RyJ I've tried, with a creamy draw that lasts well over an hour. Perfect for a quiet evening smoke.

Steven ★★★★★

The gold band on this one is a nice touch—it feels like a special occasion cigar the moment you pick it up. I’ve only had a few, but the draw is smooth and the flavors are developing nicely with a bit of age. Definitely worth grabbing a single to see what the 2020 anniversary hype is about.

Edward M. ★★★★★

The 2020 release date really shows in the construction—this Hidalgos feels well-aged and complex from the very first puff. The draw is smooth and the ash held firm for over an inch, which made for a truly relaxing smoke.
