A banker from Germany, Herman Upmann moved to Havana in 1844 because of his love for Havana cigars. He also set up a bank which closed in the early 1920s. Thankfully the cigar brand he created didn't suffer the same fate and today is still loved by cigar smokers the world over.

Light to medium in flavour the filler and binder tobaccos are grown in the Vuelta Abajo zone.

Christopher ★★★★★

The draw is perfectly firm, and the burn stayed razor-sharp all the way to the nub. It's a slow, rich smoke that feels like a proper nod to Havana's old banking days — exactly what I hoped for.

Nicholas H. ★★★★★

Bought a box of these to celebrate a work milestone, and the draw is so smooth right from the first puff—even burn all the way down. The construction feels solid, and that classic Havana depth really comes through without being harsh. Definitely going back for more.

John L. ★★★★★

Opened the box and the Maduro wrapper had that perfect oily sheen I love. It draws evenly and produces thick, creamy smoke right from the first puff—exactly what you want from a well-rolled Cuban.
