Samuel Gawith Commonwealth 菸斗菸草 - 250 公克袋裝

That first bowl was like sitting next to a campfire in the best way—the smokiness from the Latakia is deep and rich, but the Virginias keep it from being harsh. It burns steady down to a fine ash, though I’ll admit it needs a bit of drying time before packing.

The ribbon cut makes it easy to pack and light evenly, and the aroma is a perfect mix of smoky Latakia with a hint of sweetness. I’ve been reaching for this blend more than my usual English mixtures lately. The leather notes really come through on the finish.

That 50/50 Virginia and Latakia balance is spot on — the woodiness and leather come through clear, while the sweetness keeps it from being too harsh. A 250g bag lasts me ages, and it smokes cool right down to the last third.
