In the Condega region of Nicaragua the Plasencia family own a farm, Finca San Julián which stands 1300 metres above sea level.

The tobacco plants grown here benefit from more sunlight and cooler temperatures which in turn affects their characteristics giving a unique flavour profile.

Alma Del Cielo translates to "Soul of Heaven" in english and this new line from Plasencia cigars is really interesting.

The Amanecer is a hexagon shaped cigar 6" x 60 gauge that should last a minimum of 90 minutes and probably a bit more, so take your time don't rush.

It's a medium bodied cigar producing loads of creamy smoke, a complex array of flavours including cocaa, almonds and cedar mingle to produce a medium strength flavour bomb that gradually evolves with earthy notes and nougat appearing as you smoke down.

The Plasencia family claim this series to embody their principles of sustainable farming practices.

A cigar for those seeking something different.

Avery I. ★★★★★

The extra sunlight from that high elevation farm gives these cigars a noticeably smoother, more even burn than most Nicaraguan sticks I've tried. The hexagon shape feels solid in the hand and draws perfectly from the first light.

Olivia U. ★★★★★

The elevation at 1300 meters really seems to make a difference—this cigar burns slow and even with a sweetness I didn't expect. Perfect for a long afternoon on the porch.

Daniel ★★★★★

Smoked it slowly on a cool evening, and the cool-climate tobacco from that high-altitude farm really came through — smooth and unhurried from first light to last third. The hexagon shape felt substantial in the hand, almost a little ceremony in itself. That single stick was worth every minute, and I
