The Peterson Aran pipe, first released in 1965, has been given an upgrade to make it more appealing to those pipe smokers who like their pipes simple and uncomplicated.
In an effort to add a little "eye candy" the artisans of Peterson have added a polished nickel band to the shank and given the walnut-stained woodwork a polished finish which gives the pipe a classy look.
The 230 shape is a smallish bent billiard which fits comfortably into the hand and holds an average amount of tobacco.
Please note the mouthpiece is a fishtail and the pipe doesn't take a filter.
