PDR Cigars are based in the Dominican Republic and run by master blender Abe Flores. They’re known for traditional Cuban-style rolling, well aged tobaccos, and blends that focus on balance and flavour rather than hype. PDR cigars are consistently well made and offer great quality across a wide range of strengths and profiles.
The Gran Reserva range was launched in 2013, this Maduro blend uses a Mexican San Andres wrapper, a Dominican binder and a variety of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos for the filler.
Using an old Cuban technique called Entubado, a special way of bunching the filler tobacco, these Gran Reserva Half Corona cigars are rich, medium strength with flavours of cocoa, espresso, and roasted nuts. There’s a bit of earthy spice throughout, balanced by a subtle natural sweetness from the Maduro wrapper. Well rounded and satisfying, they deliver plenty of depth.
