Gurkha Nicaragua Series Robusto Cigars - Box of 20

Rolled at the Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A in Esteli Nicaragua using leaf supplied by Eduardo Fernandez's Agnorsa company, (this is a first for Gurkha).

The wrapper is Nicaragua (Corojo 99), the binder is Nicaragua (Corojo 99) and the filler is Nicaragua (Corojo 99 & Criollo 98).

This is a medium to full strength offering from Gurkha, full flavoured, well made and packing a lot into a robusto size. The profile is nuts, with chocolate, leather and white pepper all combining to produce a really enjoyable well priced cigar.

Enjoy.

Richard ★★★★★

The Nicaraguan wrapper gives this robusto a rich, earthy aroma that fills the room nicely. Burn was even all the way through, and the draw had just the right amount of resistance.

David N. ★★★★★

Earthy and smooth from the first draw, these robustos burn even and hold a nice white ash. The Nicaraguan leaf gives a rich, peppery kick that mellows out nicely in the second half—box of 20 is a solid value.

Charlotte ★★★★★

Finally got a chance to light one of these up, and the burn was perfectly even right down to the nub. The Nicaraguan leaf from Fernandez's farm gives it a really smooth, earthy profile that I wasn't expecting from a box of robustos. Already planning to grab another box.
