Crowned Heads has built a loyal following among boutique cigar enthusiasts, and now the Mil Días Topes has arrived in the UK.

Short, chunky and topped with a distinctive pigtail cap, this handmade Nicaraguan cigar has plenty of personality. Its shape isn’t just about looks. Crowned Heads chose the shorter length and generous 56 ring gauge to help the blend open up, bringing its delicate floral notes and sweet cream flavours to the forefront. When it launched, the Topes was the widest cigar in the Mil Días range.

Mil Días means “1,000 days”, a nod to the time spent developing the original blend. Handmade at the TacaNicsa factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, under the supervision of Eradio Pichardo, it combines an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos from Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Peru.

Expect a medium to full bodied smoke with creamy sweetness, floral touches, cedar, coffee and nuttiness, alongside a warming hint of spice. There’s plenty to explore as the flavours develop throughout the smoke.

Look closely at the head and you’ll spot the pigtail cap, a small twist of tobacco that gives the Topes its distinctive finish. It’s a fitting detail for a cigar with so much character packed into its compact format.

Measuring 4⅞ inches × 56 ring gauge, the Crowned Heads Mil Días Topes offers approximately 45–65 minutes of smoking time, depending on your pace. If you enjoy a broader cigar but prefer a shorter smoke, this new UK arrival deserves a place on your shortlist.
