Crowned Heads La Imperiosa Magicos Cigars - Box of 21

Crowned Heads has built a loyal following among boutique cigar enthusiasts, and now the La Imperiosa Magicos has arrived in the UK for 2026.

Dark, compact and full of flavour, this handmade Nicaraguan cigar is one to explore if you enjoy a richer, bolder smoke.

There’s a good story behind the blend, too. La Imperiosa uses the same tobacco recipe as the sought after Las Calaveras limited edition released in 2014. Rather than letting that blend disappear when the limited run ended, Crowned Heads brought it back as a permanent range, with a new name and different sizes.

Handmade at the My Father Cigars factory in Nicaragua, the Magicos combines a dark Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper with Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. “Oscuro” refers to the wrapper’s dark colour, giving the cigar its deep chocolate-brown appearance.

Expect a full bodied smoke with notes of cocoa, espresso and leather, alongside earthiness and a lively touch of black pepper. A thread of natural sweetness rounds out the richer flavours, giving you plenty to discover as the cigar develops.

Measuring 4½ inches × 52 ring gauge, the Magicos offers a short, chunky Rothschild format. Shorter and slightly slimmer than the Dukes, it’s a handy choice if you enjoy a substantial cigar but prefer a more compact smoke. You get the same La Imperiosa blend in a size that fits those moments when a longer cigar isn’t on the cards.
