Crowned Heads La Imperiosa Dukes Cigars - Box of 21

Crowned Heads has built a loyal following among boutique cigar enthusiasts, and now the La Imperiosa Dukes has arrived in the UK for 2026.

Dark, substantial and full of flavour, this handmade Nicaraguan cigar is one to explore if you enjoy a richer, bolder smoke.

There’s a good story behind the blend too. La Imperiosa uses the same tobacco recipe as the sought after Las Calaveras limited edition released in 2014. Rather than letting that blend disappear when the limited run ended, Crowned Heads brought it back as a permanent range, with a new name and different sizes.

Handmade at the My Father Cigars factory in Nicaragua, the Dukes combines a dark Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper with Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. “Oscuro” refers to the wrapper’s dark colour, giving the cigar its deep chocolate brown appearance.

Expect a full bodied smoke with notes of cocoa, espresso and leather, alongside earthiness and a lively touch of black pepper. A hint of natural sweetness rounds out the richer flavours, giving you plenty to discover as the cigar develops.

Measuring 5½ inches × 54 ring gauge, the Dukes offers a substantial Robusto format. Its generous proportions make it an appealing choice if you like a broader cigar with a little more length to settle into.

If rich coffee notes, dark cocoa and warming pepper sound like your kind of cigar, the Crowned Heads La Imperiosa Dukes deserves a place on your shortlist.

A blend too good to leave as a limited edition.
